Clayton Area Rescue has been providing quality emergency medical services since our founding in 1963. It is our mission to provide quality aid and medical care to the members of our community.
Clayton Area Rescue provides 24 hour paramedic-level coverage to approximately 20,000 citizens of Johnston County, North Carolina, and covers an area of about 110 square miles.
CAR employs 10 full-time personnel, with shift paramedics working a 24 hour on, 72 hour off rotating schedule.
It also has a volunteer base of 33 members, who work with the employees on scheduled shifts.
CAR operates 5 “Type 3” ambulances, out of facilities in Clayton and our newest location at the Corinth Holders Fire Department. We also have a unit stationed in the Cleveland Community between the hours of 8am and 6pm, 7 days-a-week. We are presently searching for a site for a physical facility in Cleveland.
